Long term
Franklin House currently only accommodates long term lodgers. There are are 6 large rooms, all with en-suites. There are 6 smaller rooms without en-suites, which make use of 2 common bathrooms. All rooms are fitted with panic buttons linked to the ADT Emergency Response Control Room. Three of the large rooms open onto a deck with magnificent mountain view. There is also a “Penthouse” room with a Juliette balcony and magnificent, unobstructed view of Claremont and the mountain.
A fully-fitted Kitchen opens out into a small Tea Garden. There is a large communal Lounge, with DSTV. There are also Laundry facilities which can be used by all the occupants.
Franklin House is conveniently situated on a major public transport route and is close to Two large shopping centres, Kenilworth Centre and Rosmead Shopping Mall. There are also a variety of take-away shops, cafes, pubs, etc within 5 minutes walking distance. Cavendish Square, in the middle of Claremont Central Business district is a mere 10 to 15 minutes walk.
PLEASE NOTE:
Accommodation at Franklin House consists of Single Quarters only. (Except for Room 9, which can also serve as double Quarters.)
NO bedding is supplied.
Franklin House is a SMOKE FREE ZONE and therefore preference is given to non smokers
A deposit equal to one month’s rent PLUS a surcharge of R500 is required.
